Joe Haider Trio
Description:
Born in 1936, Joe Heider, Germany's proud and heavyweight pianist, presents a new orthodox acoustic piano trio work. The sidemen are two Swiss players born in the 1980s. He has already been playing with bassist Raffaele Bossard for a long time and has already participated in four recordings with him. According to Joe Haider, this is the first time he has worked with drummer Claudio Struby, but his punchy playing fits the trio well. Starting with the title tune "Waltz For Ever," the trio performed five of Haider's original songs and three familiar standards such as "Darn That Dream" and "Nature Boy," for a total of eight songs. In particular, "Darn That Dream" was inspired by Spanish blind pianist Tete Montreux's version, "Nature Boy" by Nat King Cole, and "Every Time We Say Goodbye" by Ray Charles. The song "Nature Boy" was influenced by Nat King Cole, and "Every Time We Say Goodbye" by Ray Charles.Joe Heider, swinging nimbly with a young rhythm section in the background, shows no signs of age at all. This is a pleasant work especially recommended for piano trio fans.
